This is my favorite scene in the episode. I know it was supposed to be heart wrenching and sad but, when he regenerated, i couldn't help but laugh. He made me smile in his last seconds and i didn't have time to be sad before he was gone. They shocked me to be completely honest. We all probably expected a blaze of glory and the dramatics of Nine and Ten. But No, not Matt. Not Eleven. Eleven was simple. He talked fast and moved quickly to get himself out of bad situations and even now, in his final moments, the drama weren't there. Because it just wasn't him. Of course it was sad, that’s Doctor Who. Of course it was heart breaking to watch the end of the Brilliant era that was Eleven but ‘We’re all stories in the end,’ and his book had to come to a close eventually. Hopefully, Twelve’s novel will be vast and filled with impossible adventures and fantastic journeys. But for now, we grieve and try to find comfort in the fact that Eleven died with a smile on his face and really, could we have asked for anything more?
