Dudes! Ladies! Others! Help is needed! ALMOST HUMAN HAS TO BE SAVED! To anyone out there that doesn't know what it is, here's a the show trailer and i'll give you a full summary of the show as well for the lazies out there. 

*Ahem*

Okay, Almost Human is a sci-fi tv show (SOMETHING WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH OF GOD DAMMIT, THERE'S ONLY SO MANY TIMES I CAN WATCH RERUNS OF FUCKING DOCTOR WHO BEFORE IT GETS OLD AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON STAR TREK OR BATTLESTAR GALACTIC ) Sorry, lost my cool there. But there's seriously only so many times i can watch something before i know every line and want to eat a fucking bullet. 

BACK TO THE POINT, Almost Human is a science fiction show that takes place in the year 2048. So get this, technology has gone through the fucking roof, i'm talking some kick ass shit here and the police are out of their depth so they have to find some way to fight back obviously and they create these robots that look like humans and can do all kinds of cool crap (example: flip a car or send an email). 

Anyway, the show revolves around John Kennex (Karl Urban a.k.a. Bones from the new Star Trek movies) who is this brooding but funny detective and really hates robots because of an incident two years back that i wont get into here but it had to do with a gang called the Insyndicate and some good people got hurt. Well anyway, he wakes from a coma because of that and can't remember much. He's then recalled to the force by Captain Sandra Maldonado (Lili Taylor), and partnered with an android, which he soon throws from a moving vehicle because this guy really doesn't give a fuck. With his new partner gone, he has to find a replacement and finds an older model of the androids, who was made to be as close to human as possible, named Dorian (Michael Ealy) and this motherfucker is so freakin' adorable. He's so sarcastic and lovable. The show is basically then about them kicking ass, crime fighting, and the growth and development of their relationship together. 

This show is so amazing. The dialogue is incredible and fun even with the main characters's sarcastic and dry senses of humor. The crimes are interesting to watch because of the futuristic appeal and the side characters don't all just 'fade into the background.' each comes with their own personality and intrigue. But, this show is pulling a 'FireFly' and is being cancelled after only one season. I don't think we should just roll over on our bellies and let this happen. It's not fair to the viewers. Alright people, It's time to help Ferguson! To any of you with your heads in the sand, i'll get the shovel to dig your ignorant asses out! Ferguson needs help! Like right now!

To anyone who doesn't know what i'm fucking talking about, prepare to be spoon fed some education! Ferguson is a place in Missouri and right now, as you read, citizens are in danger! It started with the tragic death of Michael Brown.

Michael Brown (18 years old)

On a Saturday afternoon, walking unarmed, Brown was shot and killed during a confrontation with police officers in Ferguson, Missouri

Police, obviously, claim that Brown was walking down the street when an officer approached his vehicle and attempted to get out of his car. Brown pushed him back inside and fought him for his gun before a shot was fired inside and Brown was shot (more like gunned down) an unknown number of times until he was dead. The officer has been identified either. 

This already sounds like a load of bull. But witness (Yes! People who were ACTUALLY there) have a different version of events. The officer approached Brown, reached out of the car window and grabbed him by his neck. Now i don't know about you but if someone grabbed me by the neck, i'm fighting back. Another witness says that she saw the police chase Brown and he was still shot even though held his hands up to signal that he was unarmed. 

Now, this is beyond bullshit and logically, people were pissed. It goes to show 'You push people, they push back.' and that exactly what they're doing. They're pushing back against cruel government. The police have lost it. There have been reports of officers taking off their IDs and Badges (WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!) and they are firing rubber bullets and tear gas into crowds of innocent protesters! FERGUSON IS CURRENTLY UNDER ATTACK BY THE VERY PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING THEM!

Today we say goodbye to a legend and today, before the clock ticks out, i also want to say thank you.

Thank you Robin Williams for your place in my childhood.
Thank you for the laughs.
Thank you for the happy moments you brought me and still bring me.
Thank you for everything you've given me. It hurts SO Much to say goodbye but at least you're not hurting anymore.

It makes me upset that someone so outwardly upbeat and happy could be so depressed to be driven to something like that. I'm sorry you couldn't find peace then, but i hope you've found it now. Where ever you are, i hope you're happy because you deserve it. We're all sad to have seen you leave but we wish you nothing but the best. 
Thank you for all you've given us.

Review for A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

Okay, Just to get this started. I thought i might as well keep track of the books I've read by writing reviews of them here and the most recent book i finished (Finished it yesterday) was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

First things first for the review, how sick is this cover! I mean damn, look at that shit. That is a nice ass cover. If i ever finish writing a goddamn book i want someone like this to make my cover. The minute i saw that on Tumblr and wanted to read it immediately. 

To anyone that doesn't know about this book, here's a little info (Straight from Goodreads): "The monster showed up after midnight. As they do. But it isn't the monster Conor's been expecting. He's been expecting the one from his nightmare, the one he's had nearly every night since his mother started her treatments, the one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming...This monster is something different, though. Something ancient, something wild. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor. It wants the truth." 

Okay, now let's get down to business. Out of five stars, i give this book: Three. 

Likes: It's an okay book. I already mentioned the cover so let's move on from that. Wait, can we geek about the cover a bit more. LOOK AT THAT SHIT! IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND FUCKING MISLEADING BUT LOVELY AS FUCK! *Ahem* Sorry, back to the review, I liked the monster. The idea of him being a tree was pretty cool. A little cliche but interesting. I liked the method of speaking between Conor and the Monster as well. The book shifts from italics (for the monster) and normal (for Conor) and i thought that was unusual from the books i read and made it easier to distinguish the two. The descriptive techniques and writing style was something i didn't expect for the book but the simplicity of the writing made the book seem more charming. The subject of how the book came about was heartbreaking as well as the subjects in the book. 

Dislikes: Okay, now let's drink some haterade over here. We're going to be bathing in this shit for a few minutes so bear with me. There were a few things i didn't like about this book too. Granted, this is not a normal book for me. I don't usually read this...genre if you will. I'll put in white text what the genre was so there's no spoiler alerts. It was a cancer book...soooooo yeah... and i usually don't read these because i'm really not a big fan of sad. Sad anything, movies, books, TV, if it's sad get it the hell away from me. But back on topic, i was a little bored. When it comes to books, it takes a lot to bore me actually. So that's a bit of an accomplishment on its own. While i liked the stories the monster told, but the big "reason why he went walking" in the end was a bit predictable and kind of a letdown. I didn't really feel much tension in the ending and the climax of the book left several ends loose (I know that a book can't get all of the loose ends but come on). The summary itself was misleading in my opinion. It's vagueness and intrigue makes it seem like it's this really dark, kinda cool mysterious book to read right? Um, no. Not at all. I'm gonna burst that fucking bubble right now. It is not a dark book (well, it's a little dark in some subjects) it's mostly just fucking sad. Not "The Boy with the Striped Pajamas" sad but this shit isn't exactly happy either. It was kind of a let down. 

Regardless of its flaws, it was an okay book. It had its moments and i'm glad i read it. Would i read it again? Maybe, if i had nothing else. Would i still read the book if i knew what i know now? Yes, probably and would i recommend it? Hm, it's not everyone's cup of tea so to select readers yes. I would recommend it to most though. Have fun reading!

Alright, i know some of you fucks out there are already like "Holy Shit, there's no escaping them." and you know what? You're right. There is no escape. You're fucked and you're going to read my ranting review anyway. To everyone else out there asking, "What's a Homestuck?"

Run.

Because once you start. 

THERE IS NO ESCAPE.

ALL THE POD BAY DOORS ARE LOCKED AND HALS NOT GETTING YOU OUT OF THIS SHIT. HOMESTUCK WILL GRAB YOU IN A HEADLOCK AND DRAG YOU KICKING, SCREAMING AND SLIGHTLY UNCONSCIOUS INTO THEIR WORLD. AND THEN THAT'S IT. GAME OVER. NO SCRATCH CAN UNDO THIS SHIT. YOU'RE STUCK AND YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU'RE GONNA LOVE EVERY GODDAMN MINUTE OF IT.

I don't think Homestuck (for a summary at least) can be explained simply in like one fucking paragraph but i'll try. The story revolves around four kids. (From left to right) Rose, Dave, Jade, and John:

These four play a game called Sburb and Holy Shit they rip open a goddamn can of WHAT THE FUCK and ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME with a small side dish of MY FUCKING BRAIN IS MELTING! and that's basically the plot of Homestuck. This band of plucky young kids must save reality itself because fuck saving the world. That shit is cliche, nope, they have to save reality itself before the clock ticks out and a big evil motherfucker named Lord English can fuck shit up entirely.  The comic follows One Very Long Day full of friendships made along the way, trolling, adventure, time travel, hilarity, condescension, and some major fucked up shit being pulled right in front of your face and you just have to stare at the screen not understanding what the hell is happening but sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what the hell will happen next.

And i'm serious about the whole seat thing. My ass was plastered to this seat for too fucking long. I've lost a lot of hours to this confusing shit. I'm talking raccoon eyes in the morning kind of sleep deprived over here. Half of the time i was so confused i didn't even know what i was confused about and the other half i felt more sure than i'd ever been in my life. So for all of you nerdy assholes out there into time travel, aliens and confusion (Pretty much anyone into Doctor Who who still likes cartoons) this comic would be awesome for you! They do have a dub for those of you like me who are squirrelly as shit and can't sit down for half a fucking second and read the comic. I'll even put a link in: Let's Read Homestuck! There, enjoy motherfuckers and i hope you have an awesome time.

DUDES! DUDES! EVERYONE DROP WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU'RE DOING! AND I MEAN EVERYTHING! IF YOU'VE GOT A FUCKING CAT IN YOUR HAND LET THAT SHIT MEET FLOORBOARDS ASAP.

TO ANYONE OUT THERE WHO ACTUALLY GIVES A FUCK, THE APOCALYPSE IS NIGH. STUDIO GHIBLI IS APPARENTLY CLOSING IT'S DOORS. I KNOW SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE ARE SAYING "WHAT THE FUCK IS A STUDIO GHIBLI?" WELL THOSE OF YOU CAN PIPE THE FUCK DOWN AND LET THE OTAKUS GRIEVE FOR FIVE SECONDS! But, to all of you out there who are actually curious, if you want to know, look out your windows. See that riot in the streets of angry people in cosplay? THAT'S STUDIO GHIBLI LOVERS.

I'll give the lowdown to all the deprived motherfuckers who have never experiences the sweet Majesty and sheer goddamn awesomeness that is Studio Ghibli.

For all of you who still don't understand, put down what you're doing (If you still have that cat in your hands, you don't listen.) and start watching because everyone should be upset over the end. The end of a beautiful thing is always bittersweet. In this case, it's really fucking bitter, i'm talking a beached whale of depression that's been baking in the sun for too goddamn long and blasted open when you were too close so you got some of that shit in your mouth and you taste it kind of bitter over here but i digress. 

One of their most recent movie is When Marnie was There so check it out. Try not to drown everyone with your tears fellow Otakus. *Sigh* but in all seriousness, Studio Ghibli will always have a special place in my heart and i'll always love their movies. We may not get new ones anymore but let's be happy over the ones we've learned to love and learned from in general. Thanks for everything Ghibli! You've done more than you know!

Long Time, No See

Bonjour! I haven't made a post in what? seven, eight months? it's interesting how people's minds tend to wander when the world changes. And in only a matter of eight months. It's truely incredible. I hate it. I've never been a creature of change regardless of either or not change is nature. I want eight month ago me back. But she's not coming to my rescue anytime soon. I'll just have to find a way to cope. This blog was started to help my mind and i suppose it can continue to do so.
